Softball Players & Arm Care
Posted by Arm Pro Bands on May 23rd 2019
It's 2019 and there's still only about 50% of the teams I see that work on arm care as a team. A softball player has the highest level of shoulder injuries in overhead athletes according to a study done bu the University of Michigan. Which doesn't surprise me, and probably doesn't surprise you.
How many players do you know that are injured, have sore shoulders, have scapular pain, have pain along their elbow? These are all indicators of a shoulder issue and should not be ignored!!!! I'm not trying to scare you, just be realistic.
Here's some simple steps to make sure your players don't become a statistic.
1) Perform a pre throwing routine at least 3-4 times a week
2) Use a manual massager like a PVC pipe or the stick to roll out a players arm
3) Include arm stretches like the sleeper stretch
We offer a complete Arm Care routine with the purchase of Arm Pro Bands.
